Restrictions eased to Level 1 on Monday 11th May.

HOORAY!!! This means we can clinically operate as normal – We are able to perform all dental procedures and services.

On Monday 18th May, the surgery will change back to normal operating hours Monday to Friday, and alternate Saturdays with appointments available till 6.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. These can be found on the contact us page.

The health, safety, and well-being of our staff, patients and community continues to be our top priority. We are continuing the additional infection control measures on top of normal strict infection control procedures to help stop the spread of COVID-19. These include

  • the remove of unnecessary items in the waiting room including toys and magazines.
  • Adjust seating in waiting room to ensure social distancing of at least 1.5 m between seats.
  • Regularly wipe down surfaces with hospital-grade, TGA-listed disinfectant proven to kill COVID-19 including door handles, reception desks, waiting room chairs and phones.
  • have the patient use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser and rub their hands for 20 seconds on arrival
  • all patients undertaking a 20-30 second pre-procedural mouthrinse

We are continuing to screen all patients for COVID-19 exposure. Everyone is asked if they have:

  • returned from overseas or interstate travel in the past 14 days
  • felt unwell, including but not limited to symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath
  • had any contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

We are unable to treat anyone who answers yes to any of these questions until they have completed self-isolation or recovered from their illness.

The reception staff are now in the process of contacting and re-appointing all the patients whom we had to postpone treatment due to the restrictions. They will also be sending out in a staggered fashion the 6 monthly check-up and clean notifications for April and May. The next 2-3 months for us will be extremely busy with high demand for appointments. I would like to thank you for your understanding and patience as we get through the backlog of patients.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us by phone or email.

We thank you for your co-operation and understanding as we transition back to normal operating conditions

Stay safe, support each other and remember your social distancing.

Michael Harris
